Michelle Westbury FCCA
Director
Michelle founded West & Berry having previously been a partner at another Brighton based firm of accountants. Her aim is to ensure the firm retains its culture of building strong relationships with each client. Michelle works with a variety of clients ranging from people starting out in business to companies that turnover millions. Michelle also has over 25 years experience in the charity and not for profit sector, including community interest companies and co-operatives. In her spare time Michelle is a trustee of two local charities. Other passions include travel and live music.
Peter Chisholm FCCA
Associate Director
Peter has been an integral part of West & Berry since day one, bringing over 17 years of experience to the firm. He specialises in audit and assurance, working closely with clients to provide practical, tailored advice that supports their businesses and long-term goals. Alongside his audit work, Peter advises clients on company accounts, personal tax matters, and the unique challenges faced by charities and not-for-profit organisations. As a senior member of the team, he plays an important role in overseeing the firm's day-to-day operations and mentoring colleagues as they develop their careers. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and is a keen tennis player.
Lucy Taylor ACA
Charity & Audit Manager
Lucy is an ACA qualified accountant who joined West & Berry in 2023. She specialises in the charity and not-for-profit sector and is experienced in carrying out accounts preparation, independent examinations, and audits. She enjoys working with clients to get to know their charity or business, as well as supporting their year end requirements.
Outside of work Lucy enjoys gardening, growing fruit and vegetables, reading and wildlife watching in the South Downs.
Leanne Chant FCCA
Charity and Audit Specialist
Leanne is an ACCA qualified accountant who joined West & Berry in 2026. She specialises in audit and the charity and not-for-profit sector. Having worked in the sector for over 25 years, she is experienced in carrying out accounts preparation, independent examinations, and audits. She enjoys working with clients to get to understand their business or charity. Outside of work Leanne enjoys gardening and reading.
Elisabeth Williams ACA
Client Manager
Elisabeth is qualified Chartered Accountant who joined West & Berry in 2022. She has extensive experience working with small and medium sized owner managed businesses. At West & Berry Elisabeth supports a portfolio of clients with year-end accounts, VAT, Xero and tax planning, working remotely with Tildy the Dachshund.
Katie Marjoram ACCA
Accounts Manager
Katie is an ACCA qualified accountant who joined West & Berry in 2020. She has experience in supporting a variety of clients with their accounting and tax affairs. She also forms part of the audit team and is our in-house service charge specialist. Katie is well versed in using cloud accounting software, and helps build relationships with our VAT clients by assisting and training them in using Xero.
Katie is a keen reader and forager and loves spending time with her two miniature dogs.
Tamzin Crockett
Audit & Accounts Senior
Tamzin joined West & Berry in 2025 with 6 years of audit and accounts experience behind her. She is in the final phase of her ACA training and specialises in the charity and not-for-profit sector, carrying out accounts preparation, independent examination and audit work. In her spare time Tamzin enjoys dancing, singing and reading.
Jacob Harper ACCA
Audit & Accounts Senior
Jacob is an ACCA qualified accountant who joined West & Berry in 2025. He specialises in audit and assurance along with the preparation of company accounts, VAT and personal tax returns. He enjoys learning how each client’s business runs and tailoring services to individual’s needs. Jacob is a keen musician and enjoys watching live music around Brighton in his spare time.
Jools Cooklin MAAT
Xero Advisor
Jools is an AAT qualified Accountant who joined West & Berry in 2023 to support our commercial and charity clients with bookkeeping, VAT and Year end accounts. Jools is Xero advisor who trains and supports clients starting out on Xero. Outside of work Jools has a passion for film, theatre and rambling on the South Downs and in Scotland.
Cath Greaves-Lord
Payroll Manager
Cath runs our payroll department supporting our clients with monthly payroll processing, pensions and advice on all the complexities of being an employer. Cath has excellent time management skills to ensure everyone gets paid on time! Cath juggles work & childcare for her grandchild, she is also taking part in the Homes for Ukraine scheme.
Lucia Wingrove MAATQB
AAT Accountant
Lucia is an AAT qualified Accountant who joined West & Berry in 2026 to support our clients with bookkeeping, VAT, year end accounts and Personal Tax. Lucia has a wide knowledge of using accounting cloud-based software and enjoys working closely with clients. In her spare time, Lucia is a keen footballer and enjoys playing in and around the local area.
Liz Casewell FCCA
Business Services Manager
Liz is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant with many years of experience with well-respected Brighton practices. She joined West & Berry as Business Services Manager in 2019.
At West & Berry Liz oversees Xero and cloud accounting utilising her extensive experience in this area. Liz builds strong relationships with clients as she works closely with them getting to know their businesses and their team.
Outside of work Liz likes to travel, and spend time with her family, including an ever growing number of adopted animals.
